Description:

The Hancock County School Board of Education is requesting proposals for the upgrade of internal connections, switches, cabling and drops for the Hancock County Middle/High School. The request is being made based on a need to upgrade and expand the buildings Local Area Network. Enclosed bids must include the company name, address, and phone number and must be received by the Director of Schools no later than February 4, 2008 at 12:00 PM. Bids will be opened by the Director of Schools, Director of Finance, and Technology Coordinator in the office of:

Approximate needs: 
(One Location)

Replace (7) 24 port 10/100 Switches with (6) 48 port 10/100/1000 Switches
Patch Panels to accommodate approximately 120 additional connections
RJ-45 Jacks (new drops for the additional 120 est. connections) that connect to IDFs/MDF
Fiber optic connections (2) from the MDF to each IDF

 

 

 

Required Pricing:

All material, labor, equipment and other cost should be included in a detailed list.  Hancock County Schools requests an all inclusive unit price list.   Any additional cost not quoted on the original vendor bid will not be paid.

 

 

Contract:

Vendors should submit their original bid with a “Proposed Contract” for services listed in the RFP.  No services will be delivered by the vendor to Hancock County Schools until a Purchase Order has been issued.

 

***The Hancock County Board of Education exercises its rights to accept or reject any and all bids.
***Execution of the project will be dependent of the availability of E-Rate funding.
