Text Box: “Clifford” The Big Red Dog visited Hancock County Elementary school sponsored by East Tennessee Public Television network and the Niswonger Foundaton. Director of Schools, Mr. Mike Antrican and Hancock County Elementary School Principal, Mrs. Marta Stapleton took time to meet in the library and read Clifford books to the Kindergarten students. Some of the books read were encouraging the students on proper techniques in case their clothes caught on fire. Stop, Drop, and Roll! Each student was given a book by Clifford to take home and enjoy reading. If each student reads ten books at home and sends in a certificate to East Tennessee Public T.V. a second book will be sent to them to keep. Clifford made an appearance and visited with all kindergarten students in the library as well as the elementary librarian Mrs. Joyce Loebner. Everyone had a wonderful time meeting and talking with Clifford and hope he will return again.
