May is here and summer vacation awaits the faculty and students at Hancock County Elementary. Classes are taking trips and special events are being held. Students are being awarded for grades, achievements, attendance and just being “good kids”. In the computer lab, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade children are participating in a Tennessee/Hancock County internet scavenger hunt. The winners from each class will have a pizza party! Locating information on the web is an integral part of education today. Hopefully, this lesson will further expand the skill to find information as well as teach important facts and trivia about our county and state.
