Military family information

Children in military families experience many challenges: transfers to multiple schools,

adapting to new environments, or a parent deployed for duty. Military-connected

children have needs that are different from other students. Realizing the unique circumstances they may face, Hancock County Schools aims to facilitate the transferring process for military families and provide them with support. Below you will find resources for parents, children and educators that may aid the transition progress.

There are multiple resources available for parents, children and educators on the topic of military families and children. These resources are invaluable to educators to use in the academic setting as well as sharing with parents.
